This illustration was made for me by Ilya Kazakov as part of a project called Kawaiinator where 100 of his supporters were gifted custom versions of their twitter pfp, Before this I had a claymation version, and afterwards, I had another two variations made by artist Yon Frula.

Thumbs Up

For as long as I can remember I’ve been a big nerd to gets really obsessive about subjects that interest me. I’ll read every article and book, watch every youtube video and documentary, and even dive into academic papers to really understand things at a deep level.

A long time ago, I had an opportunity to write professionally, and I really fell in love with telling stories, explaining complex subjects, and connecting with my readers.

In 2021, with the pandemic leaving me feeling lonely and creatively unfulfilled, I took to twitter and started musing on my interests, and later began a blog. Soon, I discovered blockchain and, as so often before, I became obsessed with learning about this technology and had to write all about it.

I find my niche, and over the years my audience grew dramatically, so I’ve kept writing and expanded it to more subjects at the periphery of crypto — decentralization, colletivism, privacy tech, activism.

I’ve explored video making (usually tutorials for blockchain apps), and I’ve helped to cultivate the community of crypto leftists on Farcaster. Now as I explore other open social protocols like Mastodon and Bluesky, I’m trying to build a more custom website. This is that experiment.
